Here are my 3 WordPress-Twitter plugins that I like the best. I have included a breif summary and some screen shots. I find it odd that you wont find screen shots for these plugins on the WordPress plugin site. No matter , I have taken the time to get some screen shots so you can decide if these plugins are right for you!
Cute Profiles v 1.0.1
There are a few twitter plugins that I’ve tried that puts a twitter logo on the sides of the websites. I did not like any of them , and one actually used flash for the button. I eventually chose Cute Profiles because not only could you put a twitter button on the side but about 30 other social networking profiles as well. I chose to just use Facebook , Twitter and the RSS feed.
Twitter Followers v 0.2.2
This widget is my favorite. Don’t try to find it in the tools settings as this is actually a widget. It allows you to put a widget on your blog that displays an avatar of your twitter followers. As you can see my following is currently pretty anemic , I plan on changing that soon!
Twitter Tools
Last but not least is Twitter Tools. This plugin has a lot to offer. There is an option in the post menu that allows you to automatically send a tweet about your new post along with a link. It works great for broadcasting your blog post.
You also have an option to create a tweet right from your admin interface. There is a new “Tweet” section in the Posts menu that you can choose. You also have an option in the settings to create a brand new blog post based on your tweets , I’m not sure how useful that is since you are limited in your tweets.
